John currently works for RTE.ie where he helps to design and implement their web infrastructure.

John discovered a love for workling with the internet after a brief stint fixing legacy Cobol and VAX JCL systems in the late 1990's. His first internet company Nua-Tech Ltd. was incorporated in 1998 and targeted the provision of progressive, cost effective web hosting and development services. In 2001 John was hired full time by RTE.ie as senior Systems Administrator and was immediatly made responsible for the design and implementation of complete upgrade to all of RTE.ie's web facing systems. More recently, John has been involved in the move from static to dynamic publishing for RTE.ie. John's enjoys designing high performence web delivary systems where he can use the full range of both his Systems Admin and development experteise.

Outside of work John's other interests include Chinese history, culture and traditional Chinese martial arts, especially BaguaZhang, XingYi and TaiJi. He is married to Tingting with three children, Gerard, Michael and Christina. They currently live in Dublin, Ireland.
